The K5 series PLC is an upgraded product of our company's K3 series, which is close to market demand, provides richer functions and higher performance, and is a cost-effective integrated small programmable controller. K5 can provide high-speed pulse input, high-speed pulse output, CANOpen master station, multiple RS485 communication ports, integrated analog input and output channels, and other functions in the CPU body. In addition, with a variety of expansion modules, it can fully meet the basic needs of small devices and process control. K5 combines Kinco's economical human-machine interface, servo drive, and frequency converter to provide customers with simple and easy-to-use automation solutions.

High speed pulse counting
The CPU module is equipped with 2 built-in high-speed counters and has 12 working modes. The maximum allowable single-phase pulse frequency for input is 60KHz, AB phase 20KHz. In different working modes, functions such as directional control, start stop control, reset, preset values, and count values can be used..
High speed pulse output
The CPU module is equipped with 2 high-speed pulse output channels up to 200KHz, supporting high-speed pulse train (PTO) or pulse width modulation signal (PWM) functions. The software provides commands such as relative motion, absolute motion, return to origin, jog, emergency stop, etc. Combined with stepper motors or servo systems, it can more conveniently achieve positioning control applications.
CAN bus communication function
In conjunction with CAN bus module K541, The CPU module can provide CANOpen master station function and CAN free communication function. The CANOpen master station complies with the standard protocol DS301, with a communication rate of up to 1Mbps, and can support 72 CANOpen slave stations, with a maximum support of 256 TPDO and 256 RPDO. By connecting K5 and CD/FD/JD/ED series servos through CANOpen bus, the wiring is simple and the system reliability is high, making it easy to implement multi axis motion control systems.
Serial communication function
The CPU module provides one RS232 interface and up to two RS485 interfaces, supporting Modbus RTU master and slave protocols and free communication. Using the RS485 interface, K5 can serve as a Modbus RTU slave station to connect touch screens, configuration software, or other master station devices, as well as a Modbus RTU master station to connect PLC, frequency converters, instruments, actuators, and other slave station devices. Any RS485 interface of K5 supports up to 32 devices to form a communication network.
Interrupt function
K5 provides edge interrupts, free communication interrupts, timed interrupts, high-speed counting interrupts, and more. The user's interrupt program runs in real-time and is not affected by the PLC scanning cycle. The DI points I0.0-I0.3 of the CPU body support edge interrupt function, which can quickly capture changes in the rising and falling edges of external signals. The time base for both timed interrupts is 0.1ms, which can meet some applications that require precise timing.
Software PID function
• K5 provides soft PID control in the form of function blocks (internal default), and the user can call up to 4 PID function blocks in the program to realize continuous PID control function. The PID function block can directly use the AI signal value as the PV value of the PID, and can also directly send the output value of the PID to the AO module for output.
Rich module types
The modules of K5 include two categories: CPU and expansion module. In order to meet the application needs of more occasions, K5's modules provide a total of more than 20 specifications and models. The CPU module body integrates a certain number of I/O points and can be used independently. If the I/O points of the CPU body cannot meet the system requirements, up to 10 expansion modules can be connected through the expansion bus, and the total number of points can reach 200, which can adapt to most small automation applications.
CPU module integrated with DC24V output power supply
The CPU module provides DC24V power output (terminal numbers VO+, VO -) with a maximum current of 300mA or 500mA. This power supply can be used to power the connected text screen, touch screen, and also to power the DI input point.
